Life on the Trail
Our multi-day expeditions are for those who want to experience dog sledding as it really is.
Over six to ten days, you'll travel through the mountains and plateaus of Northern Norway with your own team of Alaskan huskies. The route is shaped by snow conditions, weather and the dogs—not by a fixed timetable.
You'll take part in every part of the journey. Harnessing the dogs in the morning. Preparing camp. Melting snow for water. Feeding the team before making dinner for yourself. These routines have been part of Arctic travel for generations, and they are just as important as the hours spent on the sled.
Guided by experience
Roy has worked with sled dogs since 2005 and has completed ten long-distance races. Years on the trail have taught him that good expeditions are built on preparation, teamwork and respect for the dogs.
You'll travel in a small group, giving everyone time to learn, ask questions and become part of life on the trail.
Travelling responsibly
Dog sledding is one of the oldest ways of travelling in the Arctic. It leaves little impact on the landscape, but it requires knowledge and responsibility.
We travel in small groups, following “Leave No Trace” principles and adapt every expedition to the conditions we meet. Välj, a.
Every expedition is different
Some days bring calm weather and long stretches across open mountain plateaus. Otherdays require us to slow down, change our plans or wait for better conditions.
It is part of the expedition life.
If you're looking for a fixed itinerary, this may not be the right trip.
If you're curious about what it is really like to travel with sled dogs for several days in the Arctic, we'd love to take you with us.
